Success Story: An Interview with Steve Grossman, President, MassEnvelopePlus

Steve Grossman was elected Treasurer and Receiver General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2010.  Democratic candidate for governor of Massachusetts in 2002, Steve served as CEO of Grossman Marketing Group, formerly MassEnvelopePlus, in Somerville, MA, a full-service printing and graphic design firm started by his grandfather in 1910 and now a fourth-generation family business where his sons serve as co-CEOs.  Steve has also played a prominent role in national politics, having served as chairman of the Democratic National Committee, which he helped revitalize from 1997 to 1999. He has served as a leader of many philanthropic, civic, and cultural organizations over the years including chairman of the Board of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee from 1992 to 1996.

In 2001, Paul Karofsky interviewed Steve on how he has been able to balance business, family, and politics. From the history of a four-generation business, to strategy, giving back to his community and political aspirations, Steve discussed the challenges, opportunities, and pride-filled moments of being involved in a family enterprise.
